Changing From Tiscali To Plusnet - What Do I Change On My PC

I've given Plusnet my MAC, and am waiting for the process to change from Tiscali.

My Acer desktop is on XP. Can someone tell me what I have to do when Plusnet give me the OK?

I believe I have to change the modem/router details on my control panel presumably?? Not sure how. I am keeping my Thompson Speedtouch wired router, as Plusnet say it will be OK.

Also, when I have successfully changed to Plusnet, do I need to uninstall Tiscali from my computer? Anything else I need to think about?

You can probably tell from the questions that I am not a computer expert!
