changing light

hi guys - i want to change the light in our living room..anyway removed the light...have 3 sets of cable all with LIVE , NEUTRAL and EARTH....fitting on new fancyy light has a termianl block labled LIVE, NEUTRAL and EARTH...am i correct in thinking all LIVES go together, all EARTH go together and all NEUTRAL go together ?...ta
