changing washing machine drum bearings

Hi.

I think I need new bearings in my Hotpoint WMA30 Aquarius. I've rung a couple of washing machine repair people who either won't touch bearings, or tell me you have to get a whole new drum. According to the website I can buy bearings though.

Can anybody point me in the direction of a resource, or tell me themselves, how do I change the bearings?

Complete strip down, whole tub comes out, splits into two halves, inner drum has to be "knocked" out of the bearings then bearings out of the rear plastic half etc etc etc.
Not a job for the faint hearted.
