Anyone who is happy at the destruction of the NHS, perhaps one of the greatest symbols of Britain is both unpatriotic and an idiot.
Well, what is wrong with building Council houses? Don't we need more homes?

We need hospitals and more homes. Try harder next time.

NO, we need less people. When they widened the M25 because it was crowded, all that happened was the wider motorway got clogged up again. Same with housing, don't build any more & you wont get more people, build more, more people will come & so the problem continues. As well as houses you would need more hospital beds, school places, doctors etc etc, unsustainable.

Cool. So are you going to be first in line to top yourself. Using that logic do you have family or kids ?

Why do we need more homes?

Could some of you please put your feelings about immigration/UK population size aside and think about the sort of Health Service you and your families will receive from American Health Corporations if UK Government's flog off the NHS.

Tim

Is one of these factors uncontrolled immigration? Since the increase in the indigenous population is quite small..
Yes.

Well, people who shouldn't be here would be a good place to start..
Who shouldn't be here?

I would need to look at National statistic as to working out exactly how many people have come and affect on birth rates /death rates.

You are either missing the point in regards to NHS funding or have only one issue - immigration.

You do know that globalisation and outsourcing jobs has had a bigger impact on jobs than migration?

Indeed, but the two are linked. Whilst we are spending on housing the world and sending over 13 billion overseas in the shape of foreign aid, then it would be reasonable for the people of the UK and our healthcare to come very low on the list of priorities..

The tories and Jeremy Hunt only purpose is to dismantle the NHS piece by piece and then blame immigrants as to why its happening.

The biggest resources spent by the NHS I think about 80% are on the over 65. Those EU immigrants are younger and they have used the more of the NHS Maternity services as they tend to be younger.

Now look at GDP growth since 2010. Contrast that to the NHS funding increase - it is way less- so its not kept in pace with the increase in the economy.

Nope. That is a political statement. How much are we spending on housing the world? Facts.

George Osborne policy was to increase the UK GDP partly by having net migration a minimum of 150k a year. The UK GDP was growing partly because of this and also due to increases in debt and some productivity growth. So the NHS spending if it just kep in line with the GDP growth would be better funded.

But then the government has cut social care funding drastically. So people who paid NI all their lives in the belief they would be cared for after they retire have been let down badly.
