I need to paint my wooden fence it and theres lots of it.

I'm thinking about using a roller is that a good or bad idea? Don't want to use a spray gun as most of it is slatted with gaps.

Hiya.

The quickest way is this (in my opinion)

Get some household sponges, the sort you wash your car with. Lay LOADS of old sheets or similar around the fence and make sure the day is not a windy one.

Have a supply of disposable gloves handy.

Pour amounts of paint in a cheap bucket, dip the sponge in the paint and then apply the paint on the fence using the sponge. If you get it right, its so quick. Good luck.

(Tried to think of some "fence" jokes but failed.....)

That's all is very risky as kids may spoil it and make situations more worse. Instead of that you should powder coat it which is more durable and easy and cheap too.
