Cheapest place for underfloor heating pipework

Hello guys,

Will be laying a slab soon and want to put underfloor heating pipes in but can't afford a full kit at the moment, where is the cheapest place for just the pipework?

i've used www.ufhtradedirect.co.uk in the past. they supply alupert pipes as standard and their manifold and pump is of good quality.

Can buy pipe and components separately here, and as room/house packs. Got all the controls, manifolds etc too.

Support your local independant merchant(s).

Get some prices off t'interwebnet and see if any will price-match.

Having said that, Collister and Glover are good people - one of my customers....and an independant.

Just use this mate, it's not a Pex-Al-Pex, but it'll do the job just fine.

What about pipe centres?? What are you heating the floor with, gas, oil ASHP?

You'd be best carrying out a complete heatloss calc. for the area, divide that be the heated floor area. This will establish the watt/M2 & that'll determine the pipe centres.
