Hi guys,

Is it common practice to board ceilings before constructing studwork or vice versa? Does it matter?

Thanks.

It does not matter.

It just depends what trade is in first and what needs to be done first

if i needed to board a large ceiling in a room which was to be partitioned off at a later date, i would fix the ceiling first.

i would just make sure that i fixed noggings between the joists if the partition wall happened to fall between.

For the sake of the electrian, it's a LOT easier to wire when you have full access to the joists, ie not boarded. Else he'll be upstairs downstairs cursing you.

carryon,

Thats why they charge you so much in the first place :D

let them trot up and down, keeps em fit.
