Chimney breast ventilation

Hi I am installing a new fireplace in my house. There were 3 old ventilation chimney flues and a smoke flue on top of the chimney stack before. The 3 ventilation flues are now removed and only one, for the fireplace, is installed on top of the chimney. The new smoke flue is connected with a metal tube directly to the firebox down in the fireplace so there is no ventilation inside the chimney breast. I added a picture of the chimney.

Is this correct? Should it also has a ventilation flue on top of the chimney to circulate air inside the chimney breast?

I also wanted to add that I am not sure if the finish on top of the chimney stack is done properly? what do you believe?
