Chimney flaunching cracks

Poster #14,
Dont get excited - you jumped the gun when I was in the process of making the OP the apology you see above.
My original mistake was caused by rushing - perhaps you will learn by my mistake?

With respect @datarebal suggested sealing the cowls and @Wayners and others had already recommended re-flaunching.

Poster #17,
You are wrong - I was merely agreeing with, & acknowledging datarebal to cover the options.
I pointedly said: "As above, sealing the pots to the cowls would help". Perhaps you didn't know that using the term "As above" is an acknowledgrement & a reference?

You are also wrong with your second complaint - neither the OP nor Wayners nor anyone else mentioned removing & replacing the flaunching before my post.

I cannot speak for @Wayners , but I suspect that he was suggesting that the flaunches be replaced. Particularly given that the OP asked about replacing the flaunches.

Cowls- yes you agreed with @datarebal . Did you complain about him not receiving a thanks?

You do occasionally offer really decent advice. And in this case, I agree with the advice that you offered after @Wayners and @datarebal had given the OP the same advice.

I too like to be thanked for offering the correct advice. I don't recall doing a Trump/JD Vance and demanding a thanks though. What next, complain about the OP not wearing a suit?
