Chimney, Flue & Real-Effect Fire question

Just found this thread via Google. I was looking for the same thing but then we decided to opt for a flueless gas fire to avoid having to modify the chimney. We got ours from http://www.firesgalore.co.uk/section.php/9/1/flueless-gas-fires

I think I’m right in saying that for a flue less fire you need a 100 cm vent and they are only to be used as a secondary heat source and also they are not meant to be used for long periods.
