Chimney pot height

I live in a semi detached house with a chimney stack which should have 8 pots on top, my neibour has his 4 but mine consists of 2, one of them is completely missing and one has been taken off for a metal flue which once came off a back boiler in the downstairs room in the chimney Breast.
What I want to do is to convert that chimney downstairs into a open fire.
So I'm obviously looking for a couple of chimney pots to go on top of my stack but wondering if they have to be the same height as the excisting other 2 pots,

Any help would be good ?
