We have just built a new chimney on our extension with 150mm pumice flue liner running up the inside with leca insulation.

My question is - does it matter what size chimney pot you put on the top? i.e. diameter?

We have been given a standard roll top pot with 265mm internal diameter and 450mm height and im wondering whether i can use this with the flue liner?

I can't seem to find any guidance on how the chimney pot actually sits there... is there a rule as to how mcuh the liner sits up in to the pot before we cement it on?

Thanks in advance.

The liner terminates at the top of the stack without projecting into the pot.
