Hi everyone , my first post, so excuse any mistakes. I have to replace chipboard flooring on lobby floor, and i have noticed loft packs are also 18 mm thick. So would it be ok to use them as they would be a lot easier to manage. Thanks for any replies.
It is the same stuff Steve but in this situation a waterproof grade material could be better......chipboard hates getting wet!
P5 grade is the most durable - its resin sprayed on one surface.

18mm chipboard is fine for your purpose - the pack dimensions are for general ease of handling not specific to lofts.
The external front door threshold is the area at risk of moisture penetration.
Underfloor through ventilation is necessary.
Much nonsense is written (usually copied from some other ignorant DIY'er) about chipboard.
Most sheet flooring materials will disintegrate when exposed to water penetration.
