Choosing suitable bath taps?

I have a question about buying bath taps separately then hiring a plumber to fit them.

Are bath taps usually a standard size, so there should be no issue of it being an incorrect size for the bath?

My question is based on separate hot and cold taps such as Bristan Lever taps, not a mixer tap.

I'm not sure if its high pressure or low pressure. The hot water system is a combi boiler.

High pressure,so standard taps should be a straight swap
