I am trying to minimise the size of the elbow I am using from the bottle trap beneath my basin - this is because the elbow and the rest of the pipe is going to be chased into the wall.

The chrome bottle trap I have has an outlet that is thinner than your standard 32mm pipe (by about 1-2 mm).

It would work with a 32mm compression elbow but this is a lot larger than the 32mm solvent weld (meaning I'd need ot take alot more out of the wall.

Anyway - does anyone have an ideas how to solve this? I wonder if there was an special fitting etc?

by the time you have finished channeling the wall you'll be into the cavity.
