Hi, i have recently purchased a couple of flat mount brushed chrome light switch plates, which look excellent.
I am however unable to find anything to replace the boring white plug socket boxes that have been retro-fitted to the house after the main wiring was done.
I was thinking that i could get some brushed chrome self adhesive tape to cover the boxes and then replace the plug faceplate, but am unable to find anything like this.
Does anybody have any suggestions?

Why not replace the boxes with ones sunk into the wall and add flat mounted
face plates?

Not a difficult job!

How difficult is it to do that? Its my first house, and im a little worried about doing something so technical.

Always need to be a little careful with electrics as it be deadly - Nothing like a shock to wake you up in the morning!

Its not too dificult as you are copying what is already there.

I don't want to advise you what to do as I'm not a qualified electrian - but basically you are going to sink a box into the wall using a hammer and bolster.

Post a question on the electrics forum and I am sure they will give you detailed advice - Best of luck!
