I am about to change my shower unit. The shower unit is currently fed by two external chrome pipes on a 65mm pitch. Are there any problems to be aware of in connecting to "chrome pipes". To expand the 65mm pitch to fit a larger unit I was thinking of using (1) plastic pipes and junctions (2)flexible hoses? Any problems with either of these options?

if yoe are using push fit make sure you remove the chrome or they will blow off
