A few questions I need help with,

1. Rear retail storage CONVERTING TO studio flat (NOT an extension) do I pay cil on this?

2. Loft conversion Inc dorma do I pay cil on this?

3. How do you know for what area cil is due?

Many thanks

Before I do I wanted to have a bit of an idea,
If you know your advice would be appreciated.

Well, question 1 is: does the development (i.e. the total existing floorspace minus the existing flat floorspace, plus the loft extension) add up to more than 100m²?

Total existing space INCLUDING retail shop 143sqm
Existing flat space 53sqm
Extensions 1st and 2nd floors 25sqm (new space)
Loft conversion 25sqm

143 - 53 + 25 + 25 = 140sqm

I think this is what's you've asked

Sorry - deduct the portion of the shop not being converted! (Strongly suggest you make the portion not being converted add up to something in excess of 40m²)

About 37sqm not being converted, so border line.

Hallways and stairs are these counted as floor space?
If not I think I'll be OK as I've included in the figures above.

Just crunch the numbers whatever way works best. By the time you get some new plasterboard on the walls, you'll be under.
