Hi all... So my car failed its MOT :( the reason was 'Nearside (will not adjust) headlamp aim too high.

They have said i can bring the car back and for £35 they can see if they can try to adjust it, But need to take it apart and it might be broke and i need a whole new headlamp unit. ( i think they did try to adjust it during the mot)

Does anyone know if i can take it somewhere to get it adjusted or should i just settle for paying them to look and then maybe have to pay out more for a new unit?

First ever MOT and dont know much about cars at all.. so any advice would be helpfull.. i am on a really low budget anyway to keep the cost down?

Very difficult to work on the nearside headlight because there is no space, so if they have to take the headlight out it will take time. I dread to think what a new unit will cost, so locate a good car breaker in your area and contact them for a replacement (worst case scenario) don't let them put you to the expense of a new unit.

I think they fill up with water causing this problem

If in doubt get a second opinion from a smaller independent garage. Sorry I cant be more helpful.
