Citroen noise

Hi Folks

My Citroen Picasso HDi has just developed an audible Ding noise on startup in the mornings.

Just wondering if this is trying to tell me something ? car has done 45000 and is serviced regularly.

No John its not the exhaust, its an interior audible noise that comes on for a split second and then goes off, mite be telling me it needs a service

Definitely a ding then
Just like you say, its trying to tell you something, and its often backed up by a message or a warning lamp back up.
Look for the obvious things first - oil level, coolant level, brake fluid and windscreen wash level etc.
