Why do you think that the boiler has a built in trap? ...could it be to stop POC's escaping from the Condense waste?....hmmm

yep. have had 40ppm come out of a sink before!!! name of boiler escapes me but internal trap had failed. connection to waste kitchen pipe above trap result of poc leakage. read other reads . it happens
