Need advice, can anyone help me. Bought a1930s house last year and just had an extension built. I have guttted the inside andI have just had my roof tiled. Before i get the scaffolding taken down. I need chimney clay cowls. In the front room the chimney breast has been taken out so the walls in the front room an bedroom is flat, but the chimney breast is still in the loft. So when it rains, it comes into the bedroom, if you stand underneath you can see the sky cause there is nothing on top of the pots. In the back room the gas fire has been taken out and i have pulled out the flue and taken of the cowl. But there is a clay pot next to the cowl can i put a clay cowl on this also. where i have taken the flue out and the cowl of, i am going to get a multifuel log burner. Does anyone know what cowl i will need. I am from liverpool does anyone where i can get these cowls cheap or anyone selling any. Thanks Carl
