Hello everyone,
In my 1930s house, we have these tiled floors in kitchen and hallway. At some point they were covered with carpet which the last owners of the house ripped out got them cleaned and sealed. We bought the house 7 years ago and have cleaned mainly by vacuum and mopping with with mainly warm water. Very occasionally use general purpose floor cleaner but very diluted. We did not know that these sort of tiles require special sort of treatment and care. They have definitely lost their sheen and look a bit dull. May be its us or may be that is what happens in 7 years time anyway!

There are also several damaged tiles which were not repaired. So we are thinking of getting the floor repaired and cleaned+resealed. We got a quote from a local restorer but its quite stepp, just shy of £2k. We dont have that much money to spare, like everyone else these days budget wise things are very tight. So we are thinking of just getting the broken tiles replaced and DIY the cleaning+resealing ourselves. I dont think that floors are in such bad condition to require a proper restoration! Has anyone done this and can suggest how to do it?
