My old folks live in a property with solid walls and have been beset with condensation issues. A little while back, we installed rigid insulation and new boards on one of the external walls. This has made a dramatic difference.

They are now using a dehumidifier and ventilating whenever possible too.

One of the external walls panted white (internally) now needs to be cleaned. I was wondering if there is a particular product that I should use for this cleaning and once clean, what should I re-paint it with?

I am hoping that with the dehumidifier in place and increased ventilation, we shouldn't have a repeat of the situation but I thought it would be helpful to use a more resilient cleaner and new paint solution to prevent this further.

Can you please advise. Thanks in advance.
