Cleaning bitumen from parquet blocks

I have a huge pile of parquet blocks that I want to re-lay but they are covered in old bitumen. I noticed a thread from a few years ago about removing bitumen but was wondering if there are any faster/newer methods? Also does anyone recommend a firm (London area) that would clean and relay?

I'm wondering if it's worth putting these blocks through the circular saw bench taking about 1/8" off?

The stuff that will get bitumen off is Odourless Kerosene
 
During a business exhibition recently I talked to a company also based in Kent who were going to do a trial with 'blasting' bitumen from blocks with a new 'gritting' machine. Haven't heard of the results yet, but if you're interested to contact them see:
