cleaning gas fire ceramic radiants

hi there my sister has a gas fire with radiants which have considerable soot on them ,she had the fire serviced last week but wishes to clean up the radiants as there a bit of an eye saw any tips at all ,ive blasted them with a compressor which removed some but not all

Using the fire will in time burn off the soot to some degree,but the radiants will never become pure white again.Get the radiants red hot and most of the staining will vaporise.

You could replace them if they are still available,but that would be expensive.

There used to be a spray paint available for use on them,but I can`t remember what it was.Try a fireplace centre they often sell spray paints for black ceramic coals used in Decorative gas fires.I`m sure that`s where I got the stuff.It wasn`t perfect but it was better than it had been.
