I have been given a set of leaded windows that I want to insert in an interior frame in my house, but am at a loss as to how to clean and restore them. They don't need any cames replacing and the odd cracked pane I can live with, but the windows are grubby and the lead is dull.

Does anyone know what is the best thing to get them looking better please? Soap and water will clean them but what can I do to refurbish the lead?

You will need to brush them with a stiff brush then get a tub of leadlight cement( most traditonal glass shops will be able to source it) then rub the cement in with the brush when it starts to set pick it off with a screwdriver and then give it a rub with the brush and leave overnight....done
