Cleaning up a small area of brick paving

Next to my old garage is a brick-paved triangle the length of the garage and just a couple of meters wide at the end. Someone clearly just put it in as decoration, you don't walk or drive on it, but it's been buried under leaves and moss the last few years.

I got all the loose stuff off, the bricks clearly would benefit from a jet-wash but it looks like whatever was between the bricks has gone, so jet-washing will leave the gaps nice and open.

I'm wondering if I should use something like Jointex as I would a patio, or cement, or just sand - what would work well to keep it tidy and reduce weeds?
