We've got smooth decking (not hardwood) and in the past, I've used Liberon oil which looks great.
Unfortunately, water tends to pool in one particular spot, and over time its started to deteriorate, despite having reoiled it. The vertical pieces have only been done once 3 years ago and still look fantastic.
I've got a floor sander so I'm going to sand it back and then re oil it. Does anyone know if theres anything I can put on after the oil to help preserve it a bit? Oil obviously soaks into the wood, but something like a varnish would sit on top of it to protect it.
Don't know if such a product exists though?
Any advise appreciated
Decking when it was first oiled 3 years ago
Same decking 3 years later looking a bit worse for wear
