People, I am installing a basin with overflow in the bathroom with a mixer tap and click-clack waste.

Can someone please advise when I should use a slotted and when I should use an unslotted click-clack waste.

You will likely be needing the slotted waste for a sink with overflow - if you look at the sink itself, you can see a slot where the overflow connects to the waste. Without a slotted waste, this will simply be blocked off and the overflow wont work.
