As the title suggests, when we walk on our bathroom floor, some of the tiles produce a faint 'clicking' sound. One of the tiles IS loose, but the others don't seem to be.

I believe the builders put beams between the pipes, supported Ply on top of that, then laid the tiles on the ply.

Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, it sounds like your tiled floor is failing & in all probability will only get worse. The main reason this occurs is too much flex in the floor but could equally be due to incorrect/insufficient preparation, poor quality or incorrect tiling materials, tile adhesive wrongly laid. It could be a freak failure (but unlikely) & may be capable of repair but it’s impossible to say without a lot more detailed information. When was this done? If at all possible I would advise you call your builder/tiler back.

What thickness & type of ply did they use? How was it fixed? Do you know the size/pitch/span of your floor joists? What size/type are the tiles? Do you know what make/type of adhesive was used?
