Took a lazy short cut, and may now be paying the price.
Just tiled bathroom floor with beautiful porcelain tiles. Advice from tile shop was to use flexible adhesive for wood, rather than special porcelain glue (seemed sensible, since it was going onto ply. )
unibonded the ply, and laid tiles - but laid on 4mm heating coil, giving an adhesive thickness of about 5mm, which was the maximum quoted on the container (standard ready-mix - should probably have used powdered and mixed myself, I now realise).
however, 6 weeks later, and the tiles, whilst not appearing to move, make a definite "squidge" when walked upon - is this normal for flexible adhesive, or do I have an adhesive problem?
