Clip and wedge tile levelling system

Hi All

Finally starting to lay our tiles this week and just picking up the last few bits I need.

Please can I ask for recommendations for a clip and wedge system. Ideally I don’t want to spend loads but equally want it to work!

Any good value brands that you’ve used and that you can buy addition clips etc?
Do you really need the plier tool or can you do it just as ok with your hands?

Looking forward to any help or recommendations.

I bought a load of 'shmox' stuff from ebay and it worked great.

I got the pliers too but tbh found it easier and more effective to just do them up by hand and did most of the job that way.
