Just moved into my house and whilst preparing a cloakroom to be plastered I noticed that the cold water tap on the small wass basin appears to be fed from the old, slimline, toliet cistern.

This seems rather odd, is or was it a common practice and should I look to get it changed ?

Cheers

Are you saying it is teed off the cistern feed pipe or the tap supply comes from the cistern itself ?

Have to say it was late and I only had a quick look but it appears that there is feed into the bottom left hand side of the cistern and then the cold tap is being fed from a seperate outlet on the bottom right hand side.
