I'm not sure if this has been asked before (I did try a search and couldn't find anything) - The cistern is leaking at the donut seal on my ideal standard toilet. Now I know that the pan has to be level, which it is until I lower the cistern onto it and then the front of the pan lifts off the floor! There are only two screws holding the pan at the back of the toilet and they don't seem to be up to the job - does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Hi

Sounds like floor not level.(the pan should hold the weight of cistern without fixings)
The cistern should sit upright on the pan to provide an even pressure to the donut.
use a new donut.
