Hi,

I've just had a close couple WC installed, and although the back of the pan touches the wall at its base the cistern is about 2 inches off the wall at the top. The installer said its because the floor is slopping (even though he just laid the floor with new tiling). Anyway I'd like to sort the problem out myself because I've lost all faith in him.

Is there anyway I can raise the pan at the front to bring the cistern back onto the wall.

Must be a fair slope.

Why dont you get a level and check both floor and wall soon find out if porkies are being told .

If on the other hand floor is sloping "WHY"

Only way to remedy right is to level floor and square wall , 2" seems a tad excessive though.
