Coal fire not heating radiators properly

Just been upstairs and got air out of all the radiators, quite a bit too. Is this a sign of an airlock somewhere. Been able to get air out every day since the new radiators were fitted

Stick with it mate, get rid of that air and its my guess that normal service will be resumed - eventually!
Leave the pump speed as it is for now - nothing to be gained until the air has gone....hopefully every time you bleed there will be a bit more warmth in those rads.
John :)

All 4 of the pipes coming out of the chimney breast are cold, not freezing cold, but nothing warm either. The fire is on and the chimney breast is still nice and warm, but now all the radiators are cold or going cold! Stupid thing!

With the heating pump switch off, does the gravity primary pipes (28mm) from chimney breast get hot with the fire going?
If not hot, it got no water in system. If it was full of water, gravity pipes should work.

I always get the gravity pipes up and working first before bleeding air out of radiators.

Check that the small tank is full of water.

It might be a blocked cold feed.

At the drain valve near the boiler ( at side of chimney breast ) fit a hose and open it and see if the water run and the tank filling. Do that when the fire's out and cool down.

If it still does not work, get the plumber back, they did it, they should sort out free of charge.

Dan.
