Coax/ Cat5e

Hello everyone,

Whilst I've got the boards up in most rooms in my house over the next few days, I was thinking of running 2 coax (ct100) and 2 cat5e cables to a point in each room as I may not get another chance. Would you say this is enough/ too much etc.?

All depends on what your going to do with them.

Are you going to install RJ-45 sockets and properly terminate them?

Whats going to be at the other end, a patch panel or just loose wires into a modem / router / switch?

seems like a reasonable number for most rooms, I would put 4 coax runs to the main living room(s) though.

also four coax runs from the dish (if you have one) and a coax run from the terrestrial aerial.
