Coffee. How do you take yours?

Bought these beans today from Lidl. £10.99 for a 1.2kg packet. Taste very creamy and velvety ;). I can’t tell the difference between these and my current favourite, Costa beans.

Warning to Bodd - contains graphic scene of a watch.

Been unable to get these for ages. People are selling them for double the price on eBay. Back in stock in Lidl this morning. Get 'em while you can. ;)

I've tried pod machines, cheap dripper jug and cafetiere over the years. What I've found is, the pods are a rip-off and bad for the environment, but you do get consistently good results. Cafetiere is also nice and cheap but a pain to empty/wash out. We then bought a £24 filter jug machine which we've used for 2 years now and is about the best in terms of cost versus quality.

I do one scoop of coffee per mug, annoyingly the measure states "4" but that's I think 4 espresso cups and not builders mugs. So filling the level to 6 is enough for 2 proper mugs. I then heat the milk in the microwave, then froth with my little electric mixer, and add 2 sugars. I am dairy intolerant so have to have oat milk

We buy the same brand from Lidl but the ground version. £2.60 for a (400g?) pack, which lasts us less than a week, but it's by far the cheapest we've found. Even Tesco and Morrison's own stuff is in the region of £3.80 now

I like the sound of that but I do like the smell of freshly ground beans and I think you get the benefit of the oils in them too. I just grind up enough for about 10 scoops at a time. Actually, the first thing my grandson asks when they come round is "Do you need any beans grinding, Grandad?”. He loves doing it and then insists on making me a coffee. He's only 7.

I use this.
Stove top 10 cup espresso maker I put in enough coffee to make about 5 cups and pour the lot into one cup, fills a smallish stainless steel mug. Coffee wise I get any espresso blend but it has to also be espresso very fine ground as some that say espresso just refer to the strength and not the grind.
My favourite is
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lavazza-Espresso-Crema-Gusto-whole/dp/B00G3E8J50?th=1 or I just put up with aldi as its cheaper
