New around here so I thought I may as well ask some numb questions.
I have a few brewing up

What's the deal with a cylinder that sits on its side? Okay, arguably this is not it's side since that is the design but, is it just to do with space available or is this for a particular type of system?

Reason I ask, I'm looking for a used one that would suit a Rayburn solid fuel gravity system and saw a copper one close by, but it's a coffin type. It's indirect although I believe that doesn't guarantee it'll do a gravity fed system.

I assume that's to do with the bore of the loop inside. Looks like a fairly standard shape tank so I'm positive it's vented. In other words it looks nowt like a Megaflo.

Please enlighten me..

It's for locations with limited height.
Fit a normal vertical one unless there really is no other option.
