Hi
Quick question is there such a thing as a drip tray to go under these.

My main concern is if either of these burst/leak in a big way there going to be thru 2 ceilings. So is there a tray you can fix underneath and basically put a drain into and feed outside.

Ive rung a plumbers merchant and they have said they dont sell anything like that.Just seems strange nothing like this exists.

Just to point out we are doing this because of gaining much needed space on the landing.

Will it work

Can you get the storage tank a minimum 1m above the top of the cylinder.

You will most certainly have to strengthen the joists to take the weight.

Im being told the cold water tank needs to be 600mm higher than the hot water tank and yes he is going to strengthen it up.

Yes, it`s calles a " safe" and made of sheet lead... a Lead safe was fitted under many Victorian/edwardian WC`s. ;) You could do the same with fiberglass like used on roofing nowadays, but you`d need an air fed mask up there
