Ive heard that cold water pipes behind kitchen base units can collect condensation easily and there cause dampness behind these units. I understand this and believe it.

My question is.... what do you lag them with? Economy pipe wrap (the foam stuff)?

I've done this to the pipes but am finding that the ones behind the washing machine can be done as it's taking up too much space and preventing my washing machine to push fully back. What can I use here?

Thanks

personally I think you are worrying about it too much. I've never really noticed any real damage from condensation on pipes under the sink. Leaks yes! Make sure hot & cold pipes are not touching as this can increase chances of condensation.

Thanks.

I mean.... it is a very cold wall as its a solid construction with no cavity so when the old units were it it was pretty moldy behind the old units. Wonder if this will happen again?

Is there anything worth wrapping round them that's not as thick as the pipe insulation?

Thanks
