Hi,

drained down the gravity fed back boiler system at weekend to fit a new rad and repair leaking fitting on another rad. Filled the system and checked or leaks, none thankfully. But now not all the rads heat up, I have 3 rads on the ground floor which are fed from the pipes on the first floor due to their location in the house and having concrete floors downstairs, that don't heat up. Also one other on the ground floor and 2 upstairs, out of the 9 rads in the house only 3 heat up, 1 down and 2 upstairs. My pump has been making a terable noise for a while so think it's on it's last legs, could this be the problem? I have bled all the rads to the point that I still think there's air tarpped somewhere but when bleeding it's mostly water coming out the odd gush of air now and then hardly anything. Any ideas??

After checking your image of the pump i've checked all over my pump and cannot find the bit on the front to allow me to bleed the pump. There is a pump speed switch and on the front of the pump a dail which i was told can also adjust the pump speed.

I've put the heating on again this evening and one of the rads that was cold is now working fine, bled the rads again but still no obvious air trapped.

Any other suggestions would be very welcome
