From my previous topic, It's been a long time waiting for these quotes. Seemed to be the obvious answer, Yellow pages, just thought might need a specialist UPVC company. Anyway thanks, got quotes a bit puzzled how they can vary from £700 to over £2000 (UPVC company+roofer).
I really don't know what to look for to decide. Tried the 'have you any work I can look at in the local area', line, etc. Any suggestions ?

thanks I seem to have confused all. In my original post the guttering cola[sed. Got quotes, as above. UPVC guttering, facia, soffit, replace any rotten wood. Q: How can the prices for this job be so much of a difference. £700 to £2400. How would you guys decide who to go with. Does it necessarily mean the cheapest will be the worse or the most expensive the best. Do you think there would be a difference in the quality of the UPVC with the very cheaper quote. Or is the UPVC of a standard thickness, quality etc. Hope this helps with my query. Many thanks again

hi
i think the price may vary as some people just cover the facia with a thin plastic capping board where as some remove all existing facia and barge boards etc and fit what is a much thicker plastic board which i think is called megga board
hope this may help a little
