Hi,
I am thinking of installing a new shower, eyeing one of those Mira showers. However, on testing my water supplies, my mains fed combi (valiant ecotec 28), though powerful on its own, is not a patch on the pressure coming from the mains cold on its own.

Anyone know whether this would still be classified as unbalanced with regards to fitting a thermostatic mixer shower?
Tks,
Inigo

Your Mira shower will come with a restrictor for the cold inlet to deal with this problem

I think i remember reading that my combi is only able to heat about 12 litres (per minute).

If i Reduce the pressure of the cold, will I not have the same problem but in reverse? (like shortening the legs of a table where you keep going and are left wth only stumps! :(

You don't need to reduce the pressure of anything anywhere, you just need to use the supplied flow restrictor on the cold inlet to your shower. IIRC its the white one...
