Combi Boiler Electrical prob

My combi boiler is working perfectly well, but the screen showing the settings temp timer etc is blank.

Is this repairable or does it need replacing. If replacing is it something a DIY'er could do?

Have checked the connections (visual only) and all seem to be connected, I first thought it might be a wire had disconnected.
 
does it have a remote programmer?
some of them dissable the onboard one if a remote one is used..
