Combi Boiler Leak - How to isolate without shutting off water totally?

Now that you are at this stage ,is there any water dripping from the boiler ? If not you can probably put central heating on. Pressure gauge on boiler should be 1 bar only..........edit ,as long as you have NOT turned off the isolators on the flow and return , as I advised you to earlier. If you have turned them off don't run the boiler.

No water dripping from the boiler at present. I think the leak has to be on the inlet feed somewhere. Obviously I'm very limited in my knowledge of this sort of thing. I didn't turn any other screws other than the one for the DHW.

Pressure is about 2 BAR. You guys know what you are doing but not sure how comfortable dad will be putting the heating on - better to just wait for a pro to come and fix - that's what he will say.

That's fine ,in these very cold conditions just make sure they wrap up well and keep warm. Plenty of soup and hot drinks !! Bit of luck the pros will be there tomorrow.

Cheers Terry.

I already give him an earache when I got there because he was standing freezing with just a flimsy little shirt on. Told him to get a jumper on quick sharp no arguments

Cheers again for all your help. Top fellas on here. God bless you all :notworthy:
