Regarding a Bosch/Worcester 240 Combi RSF - with settings the same as when turned off, the boiler refuses to relight. Makes a noise as though trying but nothing happens. Can anyone suggest what could be causing this ?
Remove the screw from the middle of the pump (a little water dribbles out) and insert a screwdriver, about 4mm wide. If you feel the central shaft spinning then it ain't that. If not spinning, try to get the screwdriver to fit into the rather inadequate groove(s) in the end of the shaft, and twist. If it turns freely, you either need a new pump or the problem lies elsewhere.
If you can't get the shaft to turn, you'll have to drain water, undo the 4 pump allen screws to remove the main part, turn it by hand etc ....
