Hi
currently have a shower running from combi boiler, has the usual problem of temp change if any other householder flushs toilet etc.

But i wish to fit another shower in the new loft conversion,
would it be better to install an electric shower or would this still be affected by water flow in the house ?

your comments please

Showers fed by combi boilers should be thermostatically controlled (or at least pressure balanced) which yours appears not to be. You'll get a much better flow rate from your combi and at a much lower cost per kW. You ought to get someone competent to check your water flow rates.

You'll have the same problem with an electric shower. When someone draws off water from the mains the flow through the electric shower will be slower allowing it to get hotter.
Best advise it to tell everyone that youre having a shower and if they want the loo to get in first.

Go with Chris's suggestion and think of fitting a pressure reducing valve after your internal stopcock after having your cold mains pressure checked. This will balance your entire house water usage.
