Hello all,

My wireless controller broke on my c30. So I bought a hive.

Have wired it up all ok. Green lights on receiver. Thermo says it's paired. Receiver and router box have green lights.

Boiler works ok for hot water.

Problem is the heating won't now turn on. Can't get the thermostat to power it on.

Any thoughts please? I appreciate the help.

Photos just to show the wiring.

Are you reusing the wiring from the previous wireless 'stat?
If you are, did you take a photo of the wiring?

I'm afraid you don't currently have any connection from the Hive going back to the boiler - hence the heating not coming on!

Thanks for replying Grinch.

That was the original wiring on the old receiver.

you need to copy the L&N from the old stat to the hive , then a link from L to 1 on your hive and the Green and yellow wire in B on the existing (also wrong) goes into 3 on the hive

A common issue with boiler wiring - your green/yellow wire is a 'switched live' - it is not an 'earth' wire.
To avoid future misunderstanding, sleeve the cable in a brown sleeve.
Connections are as Ian states above - your L and N are correct :)

Hi Ian, I appreciate the reply. I will try that now.

Carl.
